There is no single switch for getting into an AI answer. Start by understanding what your website makes accessible, clear, and credible.
What is SiteMagnetIQ?
SiteMagnetIQ is a website auditing application that helps businesses improve their AI search readiness. It examines public pages for crawler access, readable content, context, attribution, and structured data, then provides prioritized findings with affected URLs and practical recommendations. You can share a PDF report and rerun the audit after making changes.
A page may be unavailable to search crawlers, difficult to interpret, thin on relevant information, or less useful to the question than another source. The service may also be answering without live web search. Results can vary by prompt, location, product, and time.
A website audit cannot reveal a provider’s private selection process. It can show you concrete gaps on your own site, so you can make informed changes instead of guessing.
FIVE DIMENSIONS OF WEBSITE READINESS
What does the audit check?
01
Retrieval & access
Can a search system fetch and use your content?
HTTP responses, robots.txt rules for the search crawlers included in the audit, indexing directives, snippet restrictions, and readable public HTML. Unknown crawler responses are shown as unknown.
02
Content & structure
Is useful information available in the fetched page?
Main content beyond navigation, meaningful headings, explanatory text, and page structure. A thin listing page is treated differently from an editorial article.
03
Purpose & context
Does the page explain what it is about?
Page purpose, relevant context, and canonical signals where present. Site-wide boilerplate is not treated as the page’s main explanation.
04
Attribution & evidence
Can a reader identify who is behind the information?
Publisher identity and, where relevant on editorial pages, authorship, references, examples, and dates. These are observable signals, not a certification of expertise.
05
Structured data
Does machine-readable context match the visible page?
JSON-LD syntax, named entities, and visible context. Structured data describes content; it cannot force a service to select or recommend it.
Checks are selected for applicable page types. Missing FAQs, an llms.txt file, or special “AI schema” are not universal failures. A score summarizes the observations in a saved audit; it does not measure how often your business appears in AI answers.
How to use your findings
Audit your public website. Review the assessed pages, crawler evidence, and any excluded or consolidated URLs.
Fix the relevant gaps. Use the affected-page links and recommendations. Add useful context for real visitors and keep structured data accurate.
Rerun and compare. Share a PDF with your developer or client, then check the updated website observations.
Validate discovery separately. Try representative customer questions in the AI tools your audience uses. Record prompts, dates, cited pages, and referral traffic; a single answer is not a stable ranking.
Readiness and live visibility are different.
The current SiteMagnetIQ audit analyzes website content and crawler directives. It does not query ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for mentions or measure citation share. A high readiness score is not a guarantee of inclusion, a recommendation, or increased revenue.
AI provider names describe where customers may discover businesses. SiteMagnetIQ is an independent product and is not endorsed by these providers.
